Database Server Specifications¹:

• Windows Server 2000 SP-4
• Single Intel Core Pentium or AMD Equivalent Processor
• 20.0 GB available Hard Disk space
• 1 GB of RAM
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition SP-4 database software²
• SQL Backup Agent or Maintenance Plan in SQL Server for Database Backup

Network Specifications:

• TCP / IP or ODBC, SOAP 3 Network Protocols

• T-1 ( 1.544 Mbps ) connection between clients and server

¹ The database server specifications are being provided for configurations involving SQL Server. SQL Server is required when running a common CASH database that serves clients at more than one location; or serves clients that are not at the same location in which the database is hosted. The SQL Server may serve other database applications in addition to CASH ( a dedicated server is not required ).

   When running CASH within a single office location you may elect to install a shared MS-Access database, and when doing so you may disregard the database server specifications. The MS-Access database will function most efficiently when smaller than 50MB. It is strongly recommended that you migrate to SQL server if your MS-Access database exceeds 50MB. CASH's built-in administrative features provide a seamless Import from Access to SQL.

² Some organizations may qualify for the complimentary Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008 Express Edition in lieu of Microsoft SQL Server when licensing 16 or less users.
